A Dinosaur Was Hiding in a Drawer!

More than 100 years ago, a fossil hunter found some old bones on the Isle of Wight, a little island in England. The bones went to a big museum in London. Then they sat in a drawer for about 100 years! Now scientists looked at them with special scanners. Surprise! It is a brand-new kind of dinosaur, named Invictibellatrix amberina. It walked on two legs, was about as tall as a grown-up, and probably had feathers. It lived about 120 million years ago.

🤩 Wow fact: It is the first dinosaur from its family, the megaraptors, ever found in Europe.

💭 Think about it: What old treasure do you think might be hiding in a drawer at your house?

57 New Sea Animals Found Deep Under the Sea

Far off the coast of Argentina, there is a giant underwater canyon. It goes down more than 3,500 meters. That is about twice as deep as the Grand Canyon! Scientists sent a robot submarine to explore it, and millions of people watched live. Now experts have studied what it found: 57 new kinds of sea animals! There are sea cucumbers, feather stars, corals and tiny swimmers called copepods. One sea cucumber has little horns, so the scientists nicknamed it Loki.

🤩 Wow fact: Experts worked out that these 57 animals were new in just two weeks of studying them!

💭 Think about it: If you found a brand-new sea animal, what would you name it?
